The Unmasked Series by Rocom
An exploration into the iconic power of masks in pop culture.
I’ve been working on this series for the past few months and it’s been an idea of mine for the past few years. I’m really excited to debut a very small release of 4” X 4” prints of these at WonderCon this weekend. Stop by Artist Alley table AA224 to pick up some prints and get a free sketch. I’ll be there all weekend.
This is amazing. You are amazing darling.
Traditional Tattoo Ariel
http://timshumateillustrations.tumblr.com/ did a great series of Disney tattoo girls a few years ago, and I wanted to revisit this theme with a few American traditional styled tattoos. Here’s the first!
Awkward little informal audition I did today:
So about a week ago the Elsa I was with for AACC messaged me and asked if I was interested in doing a princess party gig with her and land a possible job at the company she is doing parties for. And so the lady who runs the princess party company texted me today and asked for some headshots and pictures of me in the costume. I mean besides the really nice one that photographer took of me, all of them were cruddy phone camera quality, so I felt stupid for that. She then asked if I had experience with singing, acting, and with kids, yes, yes, yes. And so after all this she says that she now has to ask the family if they want Anna at the party (which I don’t understand why they would even ask me to do this gig in the first place if they weren’t even sure if they wanted Anna alongside Elsa)? So now I have to wait till I get her response back! But I feel optimistic that I impressed the lady and that hopefully the little girl will want Anna at her party too.
